"The beautiful 57C was repainted in an unflattering red by Sironi. In 1977, the car finally entered the collection of A. Galopin who entrusted its restoration to the Établissements André Lecoq in Saint-Ouen. The original ivory color was found on certain parts of the bodyshop and the Bugatti regained its original livery. The mechanisms were maintained by Mr. Sochon, the restorer's appointed mechanic."
