The key stages
The Lecoq workshops offer you their traditional know-how in bodywork, painting and mechanics as well as all the services linked to restoration, upholstery, cabinetmaking and glazing. Lecoq has been carrying out partial and complete restorations in its workshops since 1963.
Information and modeling
This is the first approach. Based on photos and plans, a team of designers will reconstruct a three-dimensional model. 3D modeling makes it possible to account for all the curves of the vehicle. Templates are thus made, and a scale model is produced.
Creation of the skin
An aluminum body will be made in accordance with the overall dimensions. This can then be carried out in bodyshop. If certain parts have been destroyed, they can be completely rebuilt by our bodybuilders with the guarantee of work without any defects.
Tubular structure & chassis
Here too, our modeling software will support our work. It is thanks to these computerized plans that we will calculate and determine precisely the forces exerted and the ideal points of consolidation of the bodywork.
Cabin & interior
Depending on the condition of the vehicle, it will be possible to carry out any repair of upholstery and cabinetry while respecting the model, with clean materials in order to preserve its character.

Mechanical
All mechanics and engines will be repaired with attention to authenticity but also with today's technological contribution in order to optimize safety and road comfort.
Finishes
After such efforts on the structural and mechanical part of the car as well as after having redone, if necessary, the interior, the car will be painted in the color desired by the customer.
Finally, the car will be reassembled in accordance with the brand's requirements and codes. The customer will be able to take delivery of their car ready to hit the road.
Catering booklet
A restoration project takes between 6 and 18 months at Lecoq. At the end of the restoration, the Lecoq workshops will give you your restoration booklet including all the stages of the restoration of your vehicle, from its original condition until its delivery. You will also have all the technical descriptions, modeled plans as well as complete information for the maintenance of your vehicle and for the possible sale of it.

The bodyshop has retained from its founder the taste for a job well done. In order to control cost, quality and deadlines, all trades are integrated. The Lecoq team is not simply made up of good professionals but of true passionate artists and lovers of automobiles who have been able to perfectly adapt to the evolution of automotive technologies and the desires of their customers through eras.
Sheet metal workers, painters, mechanics, cabinetmakers, saddlers or electricians, they are all excellent in their specialty of the restoration profession. Guided by the love of perfection, these companions are capable of building what would only exist virtually today.
Passionate about their noble art, half of them knew and worked with André Lecoq and Claude Chevalier (former workshop manager). Both are emblematic figures who have worked for the international reputation that the company has achieved since the 1960s.
Today, some of them, having more than 20 years of activity within Lecoq, continue to perpetuate the great tradition by training and deploying their know-how with the youngest “roosters” of the team. Thanks to its outstanding workers, Lecoq participates in the preservation of automobile heritage throughout the world and allows us to preserve in France, one of the last flagships guaranteeing the great tradition of bodywork.
