Peugeot Exalt

2014

In 2014, Peugeot decided to launch a new concept car in the tradition of Onyx: the Exalt .

The idea: a dynamic four-door coupe sedan in pure and raw materials.

1500 hours

sheet metal work!

For the bodywork, Peugeot is once again calling on the Lecoq workshops and their historic know-how in sheet metal work. More than 1,500 hours of sheet metal work will be necessary to produce the Exalt's raw steel body. Work carried out in the greatest confidentiality within the Lecoq workshops.

For the interior, the Peugeot style studio takes up the i-cockpit concept initiated for the 208. For the materials, it is a black ebony from Asia which is chosen and sculpted by a Chinese craftsman: a design by bamboo mixed with a lion.

The rear of the body will be covered by the Peugeot style center with an efficient red textile. This textile is inspired by the microstructure of shark skin and makes it possible to reduce the lift of air flows and therefore increase consumption.

The Exalt concept car will be revealed to the general public after more than a year and a half of work at the 2014 Beijing Motor Show.
