Peugeot Moonster

2000

In 2000, Peugeot launched its first major automobile design competition on the internet.

The theme: the car of 2020. Yugoslav designer Marko Lukovic wins the competition.

The key was the creation of his concept car and the presentation of it at the 2001 Frankfurt Motor Show.

To create the bodywork, Peugeot calls on the Lecoq workshops and their know-how. A lot of shaping work is then undertaken on aluminum plates until the final shape of the Moonster is given.

The result: 4 m long and 1.95 m wide, with a wheelbase of 3 m and a height of 1.65 m made entirely of raw aluminum.
