Taxi Cab by Lecoq

2006

In 2006, very special customization was requested from Ateliers Lecoq.

A business manager driving a Rolls-Royce wanted to find a little anonymity and a less flashy image but without losing the layout and comfort of his car.

His idea: swap his Rolls-Royce for a London taxi fitted out according to his expectations of standing and interior comfort.

He then called on the Carrosserie Lecoq to create his tailor-made taxi. For this, he decided to start from the basis of an LTI TXII Gold taxi, the famous London taxi.

The modifications made are significant!

Externally, the taxi has a new look and is adorned with English green. To facilitate access on board, the right rear door has been completely redesigned to slide electrically. This adaptation required seven hundred hours of work to create a guide on the rear wing, inside which the door slides. All waterproofing is also redesigned following this major modification.

Inside, the driver's cockpit has retained its fabric upholstery, but the passenger area has been completely redesigned and luxuriously furnished. Passengers are isolated from the driver by a plexiglass window and are seated in a full-grain butter-colored leather interior with green piping. The secretary's rear-facing folding seat is also covered in leather. The ceiling light has been upholstered in suede and the windows have been opaqued. A small refrigerator powered by a compressor has also been installed for quenching thirst.

In order to allow this business leader to work while traveling, a telephone was installed, as well as an aviation tablet that can be deployed to process files comfortably. Hi-Fi equipment with exceptional performance was installed. This system occupies the entire trunk, it required the adoption of an additional battery and the soundproofing of the passenger compartment was reworked.

A little coquetry, a mirror has been installed on the rear window to tie your tie or fix your hair before a date.
