Upon finding his restored car, Mathieu burst into tears, moved by the quality of Lecoq's work. Indeed, Mathieu's 500 K allowed André Lecoq to win the prestigious French prize for "Best Art Restorer" in 1989, the only occasion on which a restoration of an automobile has received this distinction."
